Diversity Chapter 3 Blog Post

1. What did you like most about the video?

-        I liked what the teacher did to the students to teach the students that there is no difference in skin color.

2. What did you not like about the video?

-        There wasn't really anything I didn't like about the video because the teacher did a good job on teaching diversity.

3. Were you surprised at how the kids with blue eyes treated the kids with brown eyes? Why or why not?

-        No I was not surprised because they were kids and when an adult tells a little kid what to do he or she listens  

4. What scene or scenes do you think you'll still remember a month from now?  Why those scenes?

-        The scenes that I will remember are the first clips where the teacher was teaching them diversity, which is because it is a part of history and it is what had to be done.

Blog Post #1: Diversity

1.     What does it mean to be an American?  Does the reigning Ms. America represent an American?

-         To be an American to me means that I am free. That when I grow up I can pick the job I want, what shift to work. And to have a good education. It means that I can say "The Pledge of Allegiance" and that I can vote for the President. Also if she is reining Ms. America, I am guessing she is representing America because if she didn’t want to represent America why would she want run for Ms. America.

2.      Compare your zip code with 21237.  What did you learn from visiting this website?

-         I learned that Rosedale is a little smaller than Parkville, Rosedale is less populated than Parkville, Rosedale 11.72 square miles, Parkville is 12.25 square miles, for both it shows you the education experience, marital status, house hold income, and occupations.

3.       What will the US demographics look like in 2050?  What does this mean for you?

-         It means the white population is going to decrease and every other ethnicity is going to increase
